This was a great, fun read! I usually avoid serials. I just find the interruptions annoying. However, when bundled, the 5 segments of this serial resulted in an exceptionally enjoyable read. Well worth the bargain price for such a long read. Kede starts out the typical alpha alien: seeing Joyce, wanting her & taking her to his ship, unintentionally fixing it so she can't safely return to earth. He is clueless about women, and makes a lot of mistakes along the way to the HEA, but ultimately, from minute one, he is a genuinely nice guy, for a lethal warrior who likes to take heads off his enemies. He's an alpha, used to being in charge, but there's no creepy dominance, chains, punishment elements we see so much of now. Just an honorable male who would die before knowingly hurting any woman. Unlike most of the kidnapped by aliens heroines, Joyce doesn't have a complete melt-down, nor does she just smile and jump into bed with Kede. She works very hard to deal with her situation and gains the respect of most of Kede's people. There are some funny elements, as Joyce has a tendency to swear when she's stressed and the Doshans persist in totally misunderstanding her meaning. (You just have to read it.) Of course, there are some (terran and Doshan) who just want her dead, and there's ample excitement throughout the story. Both of the characters develop over time, as does the world Ms. Tate builds. The ending, although not a cliffhanger, certainly left you wanting more from these characters and many of the supporting characters are certainly worthy of their own stories. I hope to see more installments.

Accidental Alien Science Fiction Abduction Romance eBook Celia Kyle Erin Tate Reviews

Once I started I couldn't stop until I finished it... I hope she writes more in this series. I would love to know if his friends ever found their haraes and read their stories.
{My only criticism is that, slight spoiler ahead...}
She could have left out the last chapter. The only part I didn't care for was the end... The last chapter (26) happens later and it was never specified as to how much time has passed. So as I am reading the book, I am sitting here wondering when did their wives suddenly get there? When did the knights of the round table come in? When were the pens made? Was her stomach growing during the conversation? WTF did I miss a chapter? The only thing I can think of is that the last chapter must have been an afterthought... /
The very first paragraph had me laughing so hard I had to stop reading. If you have ever been late to a meeting and knew you were going to get reamed …. you would understand my laughing, Erin was so spot on.

Commander Kede was on Earth(Terra) to choose an Ambassador when Joyce literally runs into him. Joyce was a lowly temp secretary because she was to “fluffy” (I loved that description) to qualify as a volunteer for Ambassador training. Kede decided to kidnap..uh choose.. Joyce instead of looking at the volunteers and the fun begins.

Joyce’s internal dialogue throughout the story and colorful language continued to provide shall we say interesting results with the literal minded Doshan. Kede with his sense of honor and duty and no sense of what a female wants or means did his best to protect Joyce from him and her mouth. (“F* me is Not an Invitation”). While Joyce is learning what being an Ambassador means and Kede is learning how to court a female, the ACCIDENT happens and Joyce is transitioned into a Doshan. There is some sex in the story after all Kede is HOT, but is a necessary part of the plot and not THE story, which I found refreshing for a change.

There were the appropriate villains from Terra and Doshan along with a few surprise twists all the way to the end. The supporting characters were fleshed out enough that it made you asking for more about them. The conclusion was a definite HEA and left you begging to find out if things progress. I am looking forward to more books set in this universe
The Title says it all!!!! I seriously loved this book, recently I have read soo many books especially sci/if aliens etc. books where either the book ended before the characters were honestly/really done telling their Story or the "story" wasn't very good and the lead characters (at least for me weren't very likable or believable . Like say a couple meeting one night at a bar on a space station, and as the guy is escorting the girl to her place on its outer ring, said station is attacked by hostile aliens, and while they hide in a tube waiting a chance to join with others and attack they have sex multiple times in the tube, finally able to move they attack the enemy guarding the ship they came in,detain the enemy on the ship in a room near the bridge and then proceed to have sex in full view of the captives ( only her naked of course) while their waiting a full 30 minutes to join the battle) WTF right?
I know you have to take a lot things with a grain of salt in sci/if but a trained soldier who's such a horny a exhibitionist he can't wait till the fighting is over to have sex with a woman he'd only met a few hours before?
Sorry I know I digressed it's just I wasted too much money on a book that's was more sex than story...
But this book, this book was a great balance of it all!!
There are soo many times in the beginning I was wanting to strangle Kede or Joyce, her seeming to constantly forget just literal the Doshsns were and say F Me all time or freaking out about "probes" at first, or Kede and the completely backwards and messed up way he started what felt like what shifter books call his " fated mate" relationship... The more you learn about just MUCH he F'ED things up you kill him,yet at the same time between his self awareness of mistakes and total lack of malice even the throes of deep stupidly and selfishness at times,ya still wanna love him coz his heart was mostly in the right place even head mainly wasn't ;)
Especially when you learn of just how deprived the poor sweet, loving Warriors are of the love and support they all need and deeply deserve... To think they live and die to protect their whole planet and others and females in particular and yet as young as the age of 8 all love and comfort and kindness etc. from females ( even their own mothers) is lost the moment the enter warrior training simply because being a Warrior is /can be soo dangerous .... I can't imagine treating our military like that (
Not only does Joyce end giving Kede the love and mate he soo richly deserve and need she helps fight for warriors rights soo they will have what we all deserve .... Love and a Family ;)
Kede helped himself but ended up helping them all...
I hope and pray this story continues because there is soo much here to work with and enjoy still!!!!
Please give us more Erin!!!!
Joyce has become my Hero!!! And I WANT my own Kede!!!
Soo much I could do with a man like him ;)
Or Maybe even a set of Warrior twins ;) Yeah now there's a fantasy ;)
