Very hot and well written too. Another good story from Patient Lee.
This was reading kind of nasty-sexy until it got all romantic and seriously hot. It showed how cheap porn can only get you so far, and when you add some meaning the heat significantly intensifies…. An interesting and diverse cast of characters, a cute story, and lots of sizzling hot sex. Classy erotica!
Patient Lee does it again. This book is fun, hot, and seasonally appropriate. The author even managed to sneak some true love in with the explicit erotica that fills the tale. A group of old friends goes to the mall together, some for the shopping deals and the rest for casual hook-ups on camera. Two of the group, however, are unexpectedly gifted with romance just in time for Christmas. They give the story a real heart to go with the heat. If you need to seriously warm up in the cold weather, this is the story for you.
Another great read from Patient Lee! Six friends - old college roommates - reconvene each year for a shopping contest on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year it's going to be a little different, with a homemade porn contest thrown into the mix... Fabulous characters, a cute (and believable!) background story, and hilarious descriptions of Black Friday shopping madness set the stage for this delightful erotic story. (Did I mention the sex? Yeah, plenty of that, too! And it's the good stuff - guaranteed to spice up your morning commute!)
There is no single point of view in this story; we get flashes of insight into all six of the roommates' thoughts and decisions, which took a while for me to get used to. However, I liked the effect. It was as if these six were really one group, instead of separate people, which suited the friendly vibe of the book. I loved the unexpected romance, too, with an ending to bring it all together.

I got a copy of this one for an honest review, and I have to say. I wasn't sure. The start of the story is what I call hard erotica. At some point, two of the characters sort of take over and move you somewhere you never thought you'd go, happily ever after. What she's done is created a very neutral observation of a group of friends, all in different places in their lives. One or two of them have some tough lessons to learn, and you watch one of those very sad lessons in this book. Two of them are a bit on the outside, not comfortable in their own skins and they also appear to be the group lynch pins.
What you get to see is Barb take charge of an opportune moment and finally go after someone she wants. Lee holds nothing back, and that's not a bad thing. She challenges in this novel, not sexual boundaries, but social and relationship boundaries. There is no character in this book that isn't just like everyone else you ever knew. She doesn't sugar coat truth. It's one of the things you can count on in her books, that and some pretty sexy moments. I like a challenge in a book.
Completely enjoyable, as all of Patient Lee's stories are.
